OV’s Angels on Earth Child Development is located in a welcoming, spacious single-family home on a quiet residential street in the Leimert Park neighborhood. Children will have morning and afternoon outdoor time everyday in our private outdoor space, where sensory tables, tricycles, and climbing structures allow kids to run, move, and explore.

The mission of OVs Angels on Earth Child Development is to provide a safe, nurturing, and appropriate learning environment. We believe in fostering learning through play, and maintaining positive relationships with parents/caregivers and families.

About Our Program

We began with a vision and a passion to provide quality, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate child care for infants and toddlers.

We were named in honor of my grandmother Ovarie “OV” Smith, who is our inspiration and our example of how to be a blessing in the community and beyond.

Our Teachers

Hello! I am Cynthia Smith, the founder of OV’s Angels on Earth Childcare. I named my program in honor of my extraordinary grandmother, OV Smith, who is my inspiration and my example of how to be a blessing in the community and beyond. I have worked with children of all ages and abilities throughout my career – and I am also a proud mother of two adult children and a grandmother! I’ve been running my own program for over a year. Prior to that, I studied Child Development, obtained a degree in Social Work. I have worked in the Mental Health as a wrap around Children’s case manager, child welfare children’s home, and in special education in public school. I have experience as a Parent Educator and Parenting group facilitator. I plan to obtain a Master’s in Social Work to further my professional development. Ms. Martin has joined us as a teacher, she studied at OBU and West LA College, child development education. She has experience as an Infant and toddler teacher in Child Care centers located in Texas and California. Ms. Martin brings creativity, patience, knowledge and tons of nurturing to our program. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your family!
